Having locate Rebekah whom he strongly believed was God's choice for Isaac, many in his shoes would likely have begun to enjoy and to party; but this man understood that his mission in that land was not yet fully accomplished . Therefore at Rebekah's family house, despite the very warm reception accorded him by her relatives, still would not rest on his oars. Coming from a very long journey, he should be famished by now but he insisted that he would "not eat until I have told my business."
