Wednesday August 9 Bible Reading:      Rev. 11: 1 - 6 Topic:                   Judgement Begins In God's House We note two things in today's text (i)       the measuring of the Temple, Altar and Worshippers (v. 1) (ii)      activities of the supernatural witnesses (v. 3) Measuring here is seen as judgement symbolized by the reed/rod (2 Sam. 7: 14; Ps. 89: 32); judgement must begin in the House of God (1 Pet. 4: 17) The Temple in Jerusalem is the starting point and God's chosen people, the Jews, the first. The issue of which Temple, Solomon's, Zerubbabel's or Herod's is irrelevant here. God is only interested in the human component of the Temple, Temple Administrators, Priests and Congregation.
