Rather than use the gifts to emphasize oneness in the Church, many Christians use them to sow the seed of discord. One person thinks that their gift is better and greater than their neighbour's simply because they appear more flamboyant. We do this because we fail to realize that God is the Giver of these gifts; no one has all the gifts and God values all gifts equally and every believer has at least one gift with which to positively contribute to build the Body of Christ - the Church. Tuesday June 6 Bible Reading:      Acts 2: 25 - 41 Topic:          Growth Through Fellowship About 3000 people gave their lives to Christ when Peter preached the Good News about Christ on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem. These new Christians were united with the other believers taught by the Apostles and included in the prayer meetings and fellowship. New believers in Christ need to be in groups where they can learn God's Word, pray and mature in the faith. Those who come to Jesus newly should seek out other believers for fellowship, prayer and teaching.
