Daily Fountain 2017 - 071117 - Unity And Grace In Jesus Christ

Tuesday November 7 Bible Reading:     Eph. 2: 11 - 22 Topic:                  Unity And Grace In Jesus Christ We Gentiles will better appreciate our position in Christ Jesus if we remember that we were excluded from the commonwealth blessings of God's people Israel until Jesus sacrifice on the Cross changed our fortunes. All those who through faith receive Him as Saviour and Lord have their sins washed away and they become members of one holy and united family. Thus every wall of demarcation is broken. There is no more Jew or Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, black or white, poor or rich, high or low for we have all become one family. Can you imagine one such big fellowship of believers of diverse nationalities and colours serving and praising God with joy and gladness in their hearts. It gives God great pleasure and He responds by mani...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 3010 - By The Spirit Of Unity, Grow And Serve God

Monday October 30 Bible Reading:     Rom. 15: 1 - 13 Topic:                  By The Spirit Of Unity, Grow And Serve God The theme of unity Paul began to treat once he began to teach how Christians should behave, from Romans 12: 9, in love for all including our enemies (vs. 17 - 21); he elaborated in Romans 13 to indicate the need for a viable Christian witness, that involves our submission to the authorities. Special Song For The Day - Trust And Obey

1.       When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Refrain Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 2.       Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey. Refrain Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 3.       Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil he doth richly repay; Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blest if we trust and obey. Refrain Trust and obey, for there's no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 4.       But we never ...

Tuesday June 20 Bible Reading:      Gen. 18: 1 - 15 Topic:          Nothing Is Too Hard For God To Do Abraham had three visitors he recognized to be divine beings and he willingly gave hospitality to them (vs. 1 - 5) As they ate, they asked about Abraham's wife Sarah who was at the entrance to the tent listening to the conversation. The Lord declared that Sarah would have a son in a year's time (v. 10). Sarah laughed in disbelief because by her reckoning she was well past child bearing age (she was 90 years old). As she laughed, she asked "after I have worn out and my Master is old, will I now have this pleasure? Will I really have a child, now that I am old?" (vs. 12, 13) God heard Sarah's laugh and questions and asked Abraham why did Sarah laugh and say "Will I really have a child now that I am old? Is anything too hard for the Lord?" (v. 13) This qu...
