It's Easter Sunday

On the 1st day of the new week that is the 3rd day following His betrayal, trial, condemnation, crucifixion, death and burial, Jesus the Christ rose from the dead, thus making an indelible world history. And over 2000 years now, this story has made the rounds and no one has been able to controvert it. It remains as true as the Word of God Himself because it was prophesied that He Who would offer the eternal and last sacrifice, shall be condemned by those He came to save, He would be put to death but on the 3rd day He would rise again so that He could be the Master and Lord of both the dead and the living. In overcoming death and rising again from the dead, Christ gave us - believers - the power to also overcome death because even though we die, we shall rise again at the end of the age when He shall come to take us to His Home on High where we shall be with Him for ever. Be not afraid therefore, because Jesus conquered death and gave us victory As...

Daily Fountain 2017 - No More Death

Wednesday May 3 Bible Reading:      1 Cor. 15: 50 - 58 Topic:          No More Death The mystery of changing our earthly body to a glorious body will occur within a brief moment. Our transformation will be heralded by the sound of a trumpet, and the dead shall rise never to die again, while the living shall be transformed and given immortality. We shall triumphantly declare "Oh death where is your sting, oh grave where is your victory?" 1 Thess. 4: 16 tells us that the dead in Christ shall arise first. The dead in Christ are those who when they were alive accepted Jesus as Lord of their lives and lived for Him. This prospect of meeting Jesus one day in the air when the trumpet sounds is a great incentive to live righteous lives here and now. As 1 John 3: 3 tells us, those who have this hope in them purify themselves as He (Christ) is pure. Every genuine Christian wh...

Daily Fountain 2017 - From Corruption To Incorruption

Tuesday May 2 Bible Reading:      1 Cor. 15: 35 - 49 Topic:          From Corruption To Incorruption Today's passage reveals the mystery God performs in plants. When a seed is sown in the ground, it dies, decomposes and ceases to exist in the form of a seed. However, life comes from that dead and begins to grow and bear fruits. In John 12: 24, Jesus clearly told us that except a grain of wheat falls to the ground   and dies, it remains alone but when it dies it bears much fruit. The fruits it bears as Paul said in today's passage have a different type of body to the seed sown. Paul used this illustration to show that our resurrection body will be different from the body we have now. Our earthly bodies will decay after death, but God will give us spiritual bodies suitable for eternity and incapable of any corruption (vs. 42b - 44). Th...
