Daily Fountain 2017 - Strife Forbidden

Monday May 15 Bible Reading:      Gen. 13: 8 - 18 Topic:          Strife Forbidden Troubled brew between the herdsmen of Lot and Abram and to prevent the quarrel from escalating into a major family conflict, Abram arranged for a peaceful separation between himself and Lot. Though he was much older than Lot, he gave Lot first choice and Lot chose the lush pastures toward Sodom. God rewarded Abram's peaceful attitude by reaffirming His commitment to give the entire land of Canaan to him and his descendants forever. 1 Pet. 3: 10 says "He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Their lives exhibit all forms of ungodly behaviour as Paul listed in Gal. 5: 19 - 21 Paul enjoins us to walk in the Spirit so...

Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid . John 16:33  I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Romans 8:6   For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. Philippians 4:6-7  do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Colossians 3:15  And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful
