Daily Fountain 2017 - Fulfill Your Vows

Wednesday September 13 Bible Reading:     1 Sam. 1: 24 - 28 Topic:                  Fulfill Your Vows To make a vow to the Lord is like entering into a covenant with Him. God is a covenant Keeper and He keeps His promises and expects us to keep ours. When Hannah prayed to God for a child, she made a vow (1 Sam. 1: 11). God answered her according to her petition and gave her Samuel. Our God is ever Faithful and will never fail in any covenant in which He is involved. Be assured that He will also answer your petition in Jesus Name. Vs. 27 - 28 reveal how Hannah fulfilled her vow by presenting the boy Samuel to God in Shiloh. She said "therefore, I also have lent him to the Lord .." She showed integrity and deep gratitude to God. It was not easy for her to release the small boy who had just been weaned from his mother, yet she had to do so tru...

Daily Fountain 2017 - Confidence Attracts God's Covenant Blessing

Saturday July 8 Bible Reading:      Gen. 26: 1 - 11 Topic:                   Confidence Attracts God's Covenant Blessing There was another famine in the land as in the days of his Father Abraham, and Isaac moved to the land of the Philistines, probably on his way to Egypt. God appeared to him and instructed him to stay in Gerar. He promised to be with him and He was with his Father Abraham (vs. 2 - 3) Though Isaac obeyed God and stayed in Gerar, like his Father before him, he lied about the relationship with his wife, saying she was his sister because he did not trust God for his protection. Inspite of him, God was gracious to him and prevented anyone from compromising his wife. Though Abimelech was deeply unhappy with him for his dishonesty when he discovered the truth, he still moved to protect Isaac and his family by charging those...

Daily Fountain 2017 - The Covenant Keeping God

Monday June 19 Bible Reading:      Gen. 17: 15 - 27 Topic:          The Covenant Keeping God Abraham was 99 years old and Sarah, 90 years when God appeared to Abram and promised to give him a child (v. 12) and gave also the covenant to make him a father of many nations (v. 4). God changed Abram's name to Abraham (that is from "a father" to "a father of nations". v. 5) Verses 23 - 27 show the fulfillment of the covenant of circumcision by Abraham and his entire household. In doing this, Abraham moved the Hands of God Who in turn blessed him at the appointed or set time. The God of Abraham is still very much alive and active. He will meet all your needs as you approach, ask, trust and submit to Him through Jesus Christ. God has set dates and times in life. Prayer O God of Abraham, help me to walk with You daily by faith as I go through life, Ame...

Daily Fountain 2017 - You Are Counted

Wednesday                             24th Bible Reading:      Gen. 17: 9 - 14 Topic:          You Are Counted Yesterday, we saw how Abram's name was changed to Abraham Today, God addressed him by his new name (v. 9). The best thing that can happen in your life is to have a good and close relationship with God. God now addressed Abram as Abraham - Father of many Nations - and established the covenant of circumcision with him. Every male child in his family and their descendants would be circumcised on the 8th day as a sign of this covenant. Circumcision would henceforth separate Abraham's family and descendants from heathen nations. God so loved us that He extended this covenant of grace to us Gentiles through ...

Daily Fountain 2017 - You Are Not Alone

Thursday May 18 Bible Reading:      Gen. 15: 1 - 6 Topic:          You Are Not Alone The assurance God gave to Abram as we notice in today's passage was timely. Abram may have feared possible revenge from the Kings he defeated to rescue Lot. Just as Abram, God understands our fears and states of minds. He often speaks to reassure us of His presence in times of trouble. He does this through His Words and other life experiences. God promised to be Abram's Shield and exceeding great reward. Likewise, God will not allow the enemies or challenges you may be facing to subdue you. The realities of life often becloud our faith. Abram may have given up hope of having children - because of his and his wife's old age   - but before God nothing is impossible (Luke 1: 37) Against all human wisdom and limitations, God still assured Abram that his own son would ...

Daily Founrtain 2017 - A Superior Covenant

Wednesday January 18th Bible Reading:      Heb. 8: 7 - 13 Topic:          A Superior Covenant The new Covenant in Jesus Christ is here presented   as more beneficial and superior to the old Covenant. Yesterday, we saw that Jesus' Priesthood is far Superior to Aaron's When anything is seen as more beneficial and superior, the implication is simply that it can perfectly replace the inferior. The Law is the shadow of the gracious Covenant in Jesus Christ which is full of Divine and Earthly benefits. The New Covenant guarantees our supernatural freedom in Jesus Christ (John 8: 32, 36) It elevates our position in the Heavenly Order of Ranks such that man formerly made a little lower than Angels is now son to God the Father (Psalm 8: 5) In this New Covenant, man that was dying in sin received mercy, remission of sins and eternal life free...
