Learn From The Eagle?

The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground. It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground, and then it releases the snake into the sky.

The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is powerful wise and deadly.

Take your fight into the spiritual realm by praying and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes over your battles.

Don't fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battle grounds like the Eagle and let God take charge through your earnest prayer..

Happy Sunday

It's Sunday

My friends

It's Sunday again.
The day given to us to appear before the Lord God of Hosts to worship and adore Him.

To praise Him with hearty songs from our hearts and mouths and to wave our holy hands in thanksgiving to Him

The Bible recommends that we do not neglect the gathering of the Saints together and so as many Saints gather in Churches across the World today, do not be left out.

Do not be left out of the blessings that flow from His Altar
Do not be left out of the Anointing that flows from the Holy Spirit as we ask in prayers
Do not be left out of the effectual communal prayers that worketh great things in the lives of the believers
Do not be left out of the sharing of bread and wine - the Communion with the Holy Trinity, for as long as we eat the bread and drink the wine in His Divine Presence so is He able to abide with us in our own mortal homes

Today, of all things to do, let your appearance before the Lord be one of them if not the first thing to do.

And may He continually bless you for ever

Amen

Hymn For Today

When all Thy mercies O my God
My rising soul surveys
Transported with the view, I’m lost
In wonder, love and praise

Unnumbered comforts to my soul
Thy tender care bestowed
Before my infant heart conceived
From Whom those comforts flowed

When in the slippery paths of youth
With heedless steps I ran
Thine Arm unseen conveyed me safe
And led me up to man

Ten thousand thousand precious gifts
My daily thanks employ
And not the least a cheerful heart
Which tastes those gifts with joy

Through every period of my life
Thy goodness I’ll pursue
And after death in distant worlds
The glorious theme renew

Through all eternity to Thee
A joyful song I’ll raise
For O eternity’s too short

To utter all Thy praise

Hymn For Today

Forth in Thy Name O Lord I go
My daily labour to pursue
Thee only Thee resolved to know
In all I think or speak or do

The task Thy Wisdom hath assigned
O let me cheerfully fulfil
In all my works Thy Presence find
And prove Thy Good and Perfect Will

Thee may I set at my right hand
Whose Eyes my inmost substance see
And labour on at Thy Command
And offer my works to Thee

Give me to bear Thy easy yoke
And every moment watch and pray
And still to things eternal look
And hasten to Thy Glorious Day

For Thee delightfully employ
What’er Thy bounteous grace hath given
And run my course with even joy

And closely walk with Thee to heaven

Should You Read Or Study Your Bible?

I grew up hearing preachers talk all the time about studying your Bible.

It seemed that so many emphasized that you should not simply read the Bible like you would any other book.

I felt guilty if I didn’t read my Bible.

Then I would also feel guilty when I read it thinking that I wasn’t reading it slowly enough. Or, that I wasn’t doing Greek and Hebrew word studies as I read.

All this talk about having to study the Bible (and not just read it) got me paranoid to think that whatever I did it would not be good enough.

Are you paralyzed with your Bible reading?

Allow me to tell you that it is OK for you to read your Bible.

If you want to take 3 months and study one word in the Bible, you are welcome to do that.

If you want to read the entire Bible in a week, then that is fine too.

I think we have been told for far too long that reading your Bible like you would read any other book means that you are not spending time with God’s Word and you can’t really understand what it is saying.

My question to those people is whether or not they can understand any other book they read.

If they can, then they can probably understand the Bible just as well.

And aren’t they going to read the Bible many times throughout their life?

There are things they will see and learn the next time through.

Certainly there are times when extensive study is necessary and appropriate.

But there are also times when getting a picture of what the whole Bible says at once will help you understand God’s Word more clearly.

If you take 3 years to read through the Bible at one time, then you aren’t going to see the neat connection that the book of Hebrews has with the book of Leviticus. You can’t even remember where Leviticus was by the time you get to Hebrews.

Enjoy God’s Word at whatever pace you need to so that you can be brought into better fellowship with Him.

The Promises of God: 10 Powerful Bible Verses

The Bible is the word of God and is powerful and life changing.

The promises of God start with 2 Timothy 3:16 when God tells us that all Scriptures in the Bible are inspired by God.

With this promise of God in hand we can then be assured that what we learn in the Bible comes from Him!

Check out these lyrics from this song or click at the video on the right to see Alan Jackson sing this.

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.

Are you standing on the promises of God today? Is God your all in all?

These ten powerful Bible Verses about the promises of God are meant to encourage you today.

Read through them slowly and let God work these promises into your hearts.

These scriptures come from both the old and new testament.

Feel free to add any other good Bible Verses about the promises of God in the comments.

10 Scriptures About God’s Promises

2 Peter 1:4
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Matthew 11:28-29

Isaiah 40:29-31
He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Philippians 4:19

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:37-39
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Proverbs 1:33

But all who listen to me will live in peace,
untroubled by fear of harm.”

John 14:27
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

The promises of God are powerful and awesome to grasp.

I pray that these scriptures about God’s promises were helpful to you today.

Hymn For Today

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty
Early in the morning, our songs shall rise to Thee
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty
God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity

Holy, Holy, Holy! all the Saints adore Thee
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea
Cherubim and Seraphim falling down before Thee
Which wert and art and evermore shalt be

Holy, Holy, Holy! though the darkness hide Thee
Though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see
Only Thou art Holy, there’s none beside Thee
Perfect in Power, in Love and Purity

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty
All Thy works shall praise Thy Name in earth and sky and sea
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty

God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity

Strength Quotes For Encouragement

We all need to be lifted up and encouraged at times and the Bible is a great source for encouragement.

The Bible is the living word of God and feeds us through the promises of God found in scripture.

These verses have lifted my spirit in times of need and I hope they do the same for you.

Please also consider a deeper study of the Bible by looking up these verses and reading the context they come from.

I pray these great scripture quotes are encouraging for you today!

Strength Quotes For Encouragement
The Bible is full of strength scriptures to live by.

These passages will bring many encouraging thoughts to your day.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18  So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,  as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Life is tough, and sometimes we all need some encouragement.

If life has got you down, and you need some encouragement today, let God speak to you through Scripture by allowing the Scriptures below to remind you of God’s promises and everything God has done for you in the past and in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
If you want to know what Scripture says about encouragement, some good Bible verses are listed below.
If the Scripture reference is in blue, this means there is a blog post written about it. Click on the Scripture reference to learn more about what that verse teaches about encouragement.

The Birth Of Our Ministry

Our other side is showing up in this online platform - the Blog for - In His Image Ministry.

We are all made of 3 parts - the Body, the Spirit and the Soul, while the body is destructible, our Spirits and Souls are indestructible.

And to carter to the Spirit and the Soul, we surely need to have the food for the Spirit and the Soul which are solely dependent on the Word of God.

In times past, way before men had foothold on earth, the Bible was written and when men were able to read and write, the Spirit of the Lord descended on men to put the Words together starting from Creation and so it was that the Bible was written by men under the unction of the Holy Spirit of God.

The Story of Creation ended with the creation of mankind and the Scripture states that "and God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness ............." Gen. 1: 26

It continued "So God created man in His own Image, in the Image of God created  He him, male and female created He them." Gen. 1: 27

So In His Image Ministry is born out of that basic fact that God created us all in His Own Image and Likeness, which in effect means that we are also gods but with a small g.

Being gods allows us to also acquire the godly characters and characteristics.

We shall be discussing life from the Scriptural side and also learning how to live Spiritually in a worldly world.

Join us in this cruise, we are certainly sure that it is one that you would enjoy.

You are welcome
