Friday July 28 Bible Reading:      Rev. 5: 1 - 14 Topic:                   Weep No More We weep for a variety of reasons --- bereavement, pain, sadness, frustration, hopelessness, despair, e.t.c. In today's passage, John wept because no one in Heaven, on Earth or under the Earth was found worthy to open the scroll in God's right Hand or even to look at it. However one of the Elders consoled John with this good news: "Do not weep. Behold the Lamb of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals" (v. 5) Christ prevailed at Calvary, wiping out "the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us and .... nailed it to the Cross ..."
