And He Rose From The Dead

And He Rose From The Dead   All the while He walked and worked among them, they could do nothing to Him because His time had not yet come; BUT when it was time, they seized Him, tried Him, condemned Him to death and then crucified Him. They thought they had stamped Him out of human history but little did they know that He was meant to pass through that throes so that His Glory can be established. Not only did He die, but He descended into hell for an epic battle and wrestled the key of eternal life from the angel of death. He died to prove that He was man enough and then He RESURRECTED to prove that He is God of all and His resurrection is the singular act that has given us hope as His Followers of a new life when this one is gone. He defeated death right at its own door-steps and made us a people for His Own Possession. His Blood cleansed us from all sins and iniquities and reconciled us to God. It's Easter Sunday

On the 1st day of the new week that is the 3rd day following His betrayal, trial, condemnation, crucifixion, death and burial, Jesus the Christ rose from the dead, thus making an indelible world history. And over 2000 years now, this story has made the rounds and no one has been able to controvert it. In overcoming death and rising again from the dead, Christ gave us - believers - the power to also overcome death because even though we die, we shall rise again at the end of the age when He shall come to take us to His Home on High where we shall be with Him for ever. Be not afraid therefore, because Jesus conquered death and gave us victory As...

In commemorating the resurrection on Easter day we rejoice that we serve a Living God unlike man-made religions whose founders are dead and buried. We also live in the hope of resurrection to eternal life at the end of time. In St. John's account of the resurrection, Mary Magdalene from whom Jesus cast out evil spirits (Lk. 8: 2-3) stands out. She in appreciation dedicated her lifetime to serving the Lord. At the sepulchre when others including two of Jesus' Disciples gave up hope of seeing Jesus' Body, she tarried. She was rewarded by being the first to see the Risen Saviour and Lord and to announce it to the world: "I have seen the Lord, and He has spo...
