Daily Fountain 2017 - Isaac Had Time For God

Friday July 7 Bible Reading:      Gen. 24: 61 - 67 Topic:                   Isaac Had Time For God Isaac was a godly man, who devoted quality time to meditation and prayer to God. He obviously had a habit of separating himself from the noisome neighbourhood unto a quiet and conducive atmosphere to aid his meditation. Isaac was clearly aware that his father's chief servant had undertaken a mission to secure a wife for him. Yet being equally mindful of the wisdom that relying on the arm of flesh would ultimately spell disaster (Jer. 17:5), he probably included the servant's trip in his prayers. Isaac lifted up his eyes in the place of meditation and saw Rebekah. Revelations are most likely encountered in an atmosphere of meditation. Upon setting their eyes on each other, their hearts were immediately knit together, an indication that...

Daily Fountain 2017 - Isaac: The Child Of Promise

Monday June 26 Bible Reading:      Gen. 21: 1 - 8 Topic:          Isaac - The Child Of Promise God promised to bless Abraham with a son through Sarah (Gen. 15:4; 17: 15, 21; 18: 10 - 14) and He fulfilled it when Abraham was 100 years and his wife 90 years of age. This confirms God as having impeccable and trusted integrity. Whatever He says or promises, He does or fulfills. What is that promise of God to you, which is yet to come to pass? Trust and hold onto it and "Give Him no rest till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth" (Isa. 62: 7; Matt. 7:7) Abraham kept his own part of the covenant with God in Gen. 17: 10, he circumcised Isaac (v. 4) God is a covenant keeping God (Ps. 50: 5) Have you asked anything from God? or have you made a vow or entered into any covenant with God? Abraham did (v. 4); Hannah did (1 Sam. 1: 24 - 28) Abraham m...

Daily Fountain 2017 - Nothing Is Too Hard For God To Do

Tuesday June 20 Bible Reading:      Gen. 18: 1 - 15 Topic:          Nothing Is Too Hard For God To Do Abraham had three visitors he recognized to be divine beings and he willingly gave hospitality to them (vs. 1 - 5) As they ate, they asked about Abraham's wife Sarah who was at the entrance to the tent listening to the conversation. The Lord declared that Sarah would have a son in a year's time (v. 10). Sarah laughed in disbelief because by her reckoning she was well past child bearing age (she was 90 years old). As she laughed, she asked "after I have worn out and my Master is old, will I now have this pleasure? Will I really have a child, now that I am old?" (vs. 12, 13) God heard Sarah's laugh and questions and asked Abraham why did Sarah laugh and say "Will I really have a child now that I am old? Is anything too hard for the Lord?" (v. 13) This qu...

Daily Fountain 2017 - The Covenant Keeping God

Monday June 19 Bible Reading:      Gen. 17: 15 - 27 Topic:          The Covenant Keeping God Abraham was 99 years old and Sarah, 90 years when God appeared to Abram and promised to give him a child (v. 12) and gave also the covenant to make him a father of many nations (v. 4). God changed Abram's name to Abraham (that is from "a father" to "a father of nations". v. 5) Verses 23 - 27 show the fulfillment of the covenant of circumcision by Abraham and his entire household. In doing this, Abraham moved the Hands of God Who in turn blessed him at the appointed or set time. The God of Abraham is still very much alive and active. He will meet all your needs as you approach, ask, trust and submit to Him through Jesus Christ. God has set dates and times in life. Prayer O God of Abraham, help me to walk with You daily by faith as I go through life, Ame...
