God Is Not A Partial God

God Is Not A Partial God   I want to say something to someone today and that is the title of this message - God is not a partial God. Every day that the Sun rises, it does not rise for certain people that God loves more than others, it rises for all (including even those who don't believe in the existence of God) Every night that the Moon shines, it does not shine for a select group of persons who God loves most, it shines for all irrespective of their religious affiliations including those who have no religion. The 4 seasons happen for all inhabitants of the earth - there is no discrimination. Life happens to all irrespective of our belief system. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Evil people prosper as much if not much more than good hearted people - Is that God's doing? You see, whenever you see someone doing something exceptional, something extraordinary it is not about luck, it is not about favour, it's not ev...

Daily Fountain 2017 - Go And Do Likewise

Sunday September 17 Bible Reading:     Luke 10: 25 - 37 Topic:                  Go And Do Likewise The religious leaders of Jesus' day repeatedly came to Him with questions in order to test Him. Why do you ask the questions you normally ask?, is it not to find out the truth or test people? On this occasion, Jesus told the parable of the good Samaritan in response to a Lawyer's question. The man who fell into the hands of robbers needed help. Unfortunately the two 'men of God' that came his way could not offer any, it was the Samaritan, foreigner, despised by Jews, who gave him the assistance that saved his life. How often do you shy away from helping people, who need your assistance? Jesus commended the Samaritan's action and recommended it for mankind. Beloved, Christianity is not about knowing and quoting the Scripture, it invo...

Daily Fountain 2017 - Interceding For Your Enemies

Wednesday February 1 Bible Reading:      Psalm 35: 1 - 16 Topic:          Interceding For Your Enemies In our text today, the Psalmist recounts his mistreatment and oppression at the hands of his enemies to him which includes accusations of false witnesses, evil actions and troubling of his soul (vs. 11 - 13) Yet, any time they were in trouble, the Psalmist fasted and prayed for their healing, deliverance and well-being rather than celebrating the fact that calamity had caught up with them. This could be likened to Jesus' action on the Cross when He prayed for His oppressors; "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" (Luke 23: 34) This indeed is a difficult Christian attitude to develop - to fast and pray for the well-being of your enemies instead of praying that they should die by fire. In Luke 6: 27 - 28, Jesus said "But I say to you who he...

The Story Of The Holy Birth

The story of redemption or salvation of mankind started when man derailed in the Garden of Eden and caused God to chase him away with a curse. The blood of ewe lambs and of goats and hens e.t.c. was not enough to atone for the sin of disobedience, atonement required the undiluted and pure blood of a man who had no sin; and since no man conceived by the meeting of a man and a woman was without sin, God had to come down to earth in the person of His Own Son Who was blameless and sinless, in order to redeem mankind. And so it happened that a pious Virgin in the city of Galilee named Nazareth was found fit to conceive this Holy Child and the Angel Gabriel was sent to break the news to her; naturally she was overwhelmed and asked how that was to be since she knew not man and the Angel replied "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the Power of the Highest shall overshadow thee, therefore also that which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son ...

It's The 1st Sunday In March

Friends and Brethren The Scripture  moveth us in sundry places to acknowledge and abide by the Ordinances of God one of which is that we should observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy. I know that there are raging arguments over whether Sunday can actually be the Sabbath of the Lord. And in any argument, there are always the pros and the cons. However for the purpose of this write up, we are leaning on the Spiritual insights into the happenings in the Time of Christ as recorded in the Scriptures, from the day that Jesus Christ resurrected (the 1st day of the week) to the day He ascended (the 1st day of the week) to the day of purification when the Holy Ghost fell on the disciples as they were gathered together (the 1st day of the week), to give this brief exhortation. This is the 1st Sunday of the month of March and it is a special Sunday because God had commanded that we do not neglect the assembling of the Saints together and in this very busy world, Sunday...
