Daily Fountain 2017 - 0910 - Self Righteousness

Monday October 9

Bible Reading:     Rom. 10: 1 - 13
Topic:                  Self Righteousness

Mohan Matthew said, "The best candidates for hell are those who think they have never sinned"

The Jews were actually zealous, but their zeal was not based on knowledge, since they do not know the Righteousness of God.

They want to establish their own righteousness based on the law, this self righteousness which will never please God "and all our righteousness are like filthy rags" (Isa. 6: 4 - 6) (Rom. 10: 4)

If any man will continue to pursue the righteousness that comes from the law, that person will continue to miss the main substance which is salvation that comes by faith in Jesus Christ.

The rich man that met Jesus in Luke chapter 18 reported that he had carefully observed all the laws from his youth, yet Jesus told him that one thing was lacking in his life and at that one thing he couldn't do. He went away sorrowfully

Many people today advocate "trying your possible best to just live right" Salvation is about believing firmly in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

It is rejecting Jesus by not repenting of the sins in their lives for which He paid with His Life and His shed Blood on Calvary's Cross that takes people to hell.

Prayer
Father give me grace to accept Jesus' finished work, rather than striving to be saved by my own struggle to obey commandments, Amen.

Memory Verse             Rom. 10: 4
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
