Daily Fountain 2017 - God's Elect

Wednesday October 4

Bible Reading:     Rom. 9: 1 - 13
Topic:                  God's Elect

Despite God's love for the people of Israel, they chose to abandon God and walk in their own ways and that ungodly attitude gave Paul such a serious concern that he wished that his name was blotted out of the Book of Life, just like Moses had pleaded on Israel's behald (Ex. 32: 23). Yet they were the chosen nation. It is a fact that not all Israel were God's people. Although Abraham had many children, only Isaac was chosen because he was the child of promise. Esau and Jacob were of the same Father and Mother, yet Jacob the younger was preferred over his elder brother (Gen. 25: 23; Mal. 1: 2 - 3) before they were born.

That is to say that God's election of any person is not based on works.

Thank God for Jesus Who through His death has given us access to the Throne of Grace. We can now approach God with a clear conscience based on the finished work of Christ on Calvary's Tree. We are now counted as sons and daughters of the Living God because we have been brought out of darkness into the Light (1 Pet. 2: 9)

All we need to obtain salvation is faith in God through Jesus Christ.

Prayer
Father help me and Israel, Abraham's offspring not to take Your Grace for granted, Amen.

Memory Verse             Rom. 9: 8
"That is, They which are the children of the flesh. These are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
