Daily Fountain 2017 - 1910 - Many, Yet One Body In Christ

Thursday October 19

Bible Reading:     Rom. 12: 3 - 8
Topic:                  Many, Yet One Body In Christ

Spiritual gifts are shared by God to different members in the Body of Christ - the Church.

There are diversities of gifts but the same Spirit. For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body being many is one body.

1 Cor. 12: 20 says "but now indeed there are many members yet one body" all spiritual gifts are important and useful for building the Church.

In the text, Paul pointed out seven (7) spiritual gifts that can motivate us in building God's Church - Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Exhortation, Giving, Leadership and Mercy (vs. 6 - 8)

The manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all

God's gifts are not for selfish purpose or for merchandize as we have them today is given to each in some Christian gatherings.

They are to be used in equipping the Saints and edifying the Body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God (Eph. 4: 2, 13)

Therefore there is need for Christians both young and old to make use of their God-given gifts, talents and resources for the growth of the Church.

Prayer
Father help us to discover, develop and use out our gifts to the Glory of Your Name, Amen.

Memory Verse             Rom. 12: 5
"So, we being many are one Body in Christ; and every one members one of another."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
