Bible Reading: Rom. 14: 7 - 13
Topic: We Are The Lord's
The assumption we make is
that because we live, we are useful to God.
We also assume that if we
die, then we are of no use to the Lord. Therefore we pray so much and so hard
not to die but that we may live and serve God in the land of the living.
It is simply because we
have a wrong perception of God. We assume that as we are limited by death, so
also is God. This is wrong
We are His, whether we
live or we die. Each aspect and experience is carefully crafted by HIM to His
Glory. He is LORD both of the living and the dead.
So a Christian should not
choose life He should resolve that whether in life or in death he is of the
LORD. For it is to the Lord that we give account of our lives.
Indeed St. Paul has
declared "nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God ...
neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the
future nor any powers ..." (Rom. 8: 38 - 39)
Prayer
Lord help me to have a
good account to give to You of my life whether in life or in death, Amen.
Memory Verse Rom. 14: 8
"For whether we live,
we live unto the Lord and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live
therefore or we die, we are the Lord's."
