Father in Heaven, the
Almighty, He Whose Eyes rove around the world beholding the affairs of men,
Father we bow down before You this morning to thank You for Your gift of life,
which You have given to us out of Your Magnanimity and not out of our right.
Father we thank You for the lives of our family members (at home and abroad),
we thank You for the lives of our friends, relatives and well wishers; we also
thank You for the lives of our enemies. We ask for forgiveness in any and every
way that we have gone contrary to Your Injunctions - by thoughts, deeds or
actions, knowingly or unknowingly. We pray for Your grace to continually
suffuse our lives and keep us far away from evil thoughts and actions. Father,
it's a new day that You have brought us into and we shall rejoice and be glad
in it but Lord we ask that our joy shall be full today in You that we may look
backwards with nostalgia when this day is gone and proclaim that indeed we and
You have walked together. Thank You Heavenly Father for answered prayers for in
Jesus Mighty and Precious Name we have prayed - Amen
