Daily Fountain 2017 - Is Your Name In The Book Of Life?

Friday August 18

Bible Reading:     Ezra: 58 - 63
Topic:                  Is Your Name In The Book Of Life?

In today's reading, we see two groups of people who were excluded from certain priviledges because they could not prove their family identities.

The 652 persons in vs. 59 - 60 could not show they were Israelites, while the "priests" in vs. 61 - 62 could not show they were of priestly descent. As a result, these priests were excluded from significant priviledges (v. 63)

In our communities today, many people suffer identity crisis because they have been abandoned by or forcibly removed from their biological parents due to ravages of war, kidnapping, prostitution and other social vices.

Some people cannot trace their family lineage beyond one or two generations.

An even more serious loss is that of spiritual identity. Some claim to be Christians but cannot show that they are genuinely born again or that their names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life (John 3: 3; 8: 42 - 44; Phil. 4: 3).

Rev. 20: 15 states that anyone whose name is not found in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Make certain that your name is written in the Book of Life by receiving Jesus unto your life.

Prayer
Oh God, grant me a truly repentant heart, so that my name will be written in Your Book of Life, Amen.

Memory Verse             Ezra 2: 62
"These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the Priesthood."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
