Daily Fountain 2017 - Repentance Is Time Bound

Monday August 7

Bible Reading:     Rev. 9: 13 - 21
Topic:                  Repentance Is Time Bound

On Saturday we read about the first demonic invasion of the earth during the tribulation.

Today we read about the second.

The leaders of the invasion are four satanic angels (v. 14) living in the great river Euphrates the region of the ancient powers of Assyria and Babylon that devastated the kingdoms of Israel and Judah

These terrible judgements and the suffering they brought, did not cause the people to repent (vs. 20, 21) proving the statement true that "men who do not repent under mercy are not likely to repent under judgement". (Kincheloe) Read also Rom. 1: 18 - 24

Reprobates tend to find pleasure in sin and rebellion against God. They worship the powers that destroy them and don't care about the grave consequences of their actions.

They will not change even under pressure.

Their behaviour and value system may sound strange and evil to the God- fearing, but unfortunately they are like people under a spell, they do not know themselves.

Now that we have the opportunity, is the time to repent of our rebellion against God and seek His mercy.

There is no repentance when judgement starts or at death

Prayer
Almighty God, loving and caring Father, grant me and my people freedom from worldly wisdom, that we may avail ourselves of today's opportunity for repentance.

Memory Verse             Rev. 9: 17
"And thus I saw the horses in the vision and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire and of jacinth, and brimstone and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions: and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
