Daily Fountain 2017 - A Man Of Integrity

Thursday August 24
(St. Bartholomew's Day)

Bible Reading:     John 1: 43 - 49
Topic:                  A Man Of Integrity

Today has been set aside by the Church to commemorate Bartholomew, one of the twelve Apostles (Matt. 10: 3); Mark 3: 18)

He is also known as Nathaniel as in our text today.

Jesus testified about him that he was a man of integrity.

Nathaniel lived a sincere, honest and genuine life. He as a man one could trust.

In the interaction was Jesus, Nathaniel wondered how Christ knew him. Christ manifested His Divinity by telling him that He saw him under the fig tree before Philip came to call him. At this, Nathaniel confessed Christ's Divine Nature as the Son of God and His mission as the King of Israel.

Integrity, sincerity and faithfulness are very rare virtues in the lives of many of this generation.

No wonder, Proverbs 20: 6b wonders where one can  find a faithful man.

May the life of Nathaniel challenge especially those of us who belong to Christ to live sincere and honest lives especially in our country where corruption has eaten deep into the fabrics of the Society.

Prayer
Lord, I want to be like Jesus in my heart
In my heart, in my heart
Lord I want to be like Jesus in my heart

Memory Verse             John 1: 46
"And Nathaniel (Bartholomew) said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
