Daily Fountain 2017 - Entering God's Rest

Monday January 9th

Bible Reading:     Heb. 4: 1- 13

Topic:         Entering God's Rest

The year 2017 holds a lot of promises from God Who never forsakes His Children (Heb. 13: 5)

For many years, our Nation has been going through innumerable challenges - ranging from insecurity to economic instability - resulting in untold hardship for our People.

There is a promise of REST (Salvation e.t.c) for the People of God (Matt. 11: 28)

The Israelites had hope of entering the Promised Land; yet many died without entering it as a result of their DISOBEDIENCE to God's commandments. God was angry with them and so prevented them from entering it.

The writer of Hebrews is sending a clear warning to this generation that we should not trifle with the Grace of God or be disobedient to His commandments.

Jesus said "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word" (John 14: 23

This is not about "sinless perfection" - since no one can live a sinless life - but about "willful disobedience" of which the Children of Israel were guilty as charged.
Let us be cautious of unbelief (faithlessness) and disobedience (indiscipline) in our walk with God this year.

It cost His People - the generation that came out of Egypt - entrance into the Promised Land (Heb. 4: 2, 6)

Determine that you will walk diligently before God (Ps. 119: 4; Prov. 22: 29) this year with the Messiah Who has been revealed to us (Heb. 1: 1 - 3), so nothing can block the blessings which God has laid in store for you this year

Prayer:       Lord Jesus, Your Promises are forever sure. Give me the grace to unlock the promise of rest as I diligently (carefully and thoughtfully) walk with you this year. May I have no part in unbelief and disobedience as You make Yourself manifest to me.
Amen

Memory verse:     "For the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Heb. 4: 12

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
