Thursday January 12th
Bible Reading: Heb. 6: 1 - 12
Topic: Never Give Up
Hebrews 5: 11 - 14 clearly
stated that we grow and mature spiritually as we enjoy the solid food of the
Word of God.
Therefore in today's
passage, the writer insists that they should leave basic doctrines behind and
move on to deeper issues of the Christian life.
He desired for them to
move on to maturity which would protect them from the dangers of apostasy.
Since we are in the last
days, it is imperative that we heed this warning and strive to grow into
maturity.
No matter how far you have
fallen, the Bible tells us that a righteous person gets up as many times as he
falls down.
A genuine child of God
will not be content to remain in sin as the Holy Spirit's work of preserving us
in faith until He presents us to God the Father, will see to it that we get up
each time we fall.
For this reason, God is
calling you today irrespective of your extent of backsliding; He is the God of
the second chance. Therefore do not allow yourself to derail from your faith in
the Lord Jesus through the doctrines of demons, philosophy of men and false
teachings. (Col. 2: 8 - 9)
Prayer:
Lord please keep me in my
faith to the end
Amen
Memory verse: Heb. 6: 10
"for God is not
unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love which ye have shewed toward
His Name, in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister"
