Daily Fountain 2017 - The Source Of True Success

Sunday January 22nd

Bible Reading:     Psalm 27: 1 - 14

Topic:         The Source Of True Success

King David by all human standards was a successful man.

He was rich, had military might, wives and children and was adjudged the best and most successful King of Israel.

He was endeared to many within and outside his Kingdom.

Inspite of all these, David recognized his source of strength to be God - a view that may look foolish to those who have no relationship with God (1 Cor. 1: 18; Ps. 20: 7)

Men measure success by wealth, security and influence. They pursue it by all means and when they get it, they become arrogant, proud and even assume to be god in their lives.

In contrast, David knew that God was his source and this always kept him humble (verses 4, 8, 11). He saw God as the source of inspiration and security (vs. 1 - 3) The Lord meant everything in the world to him (vs. 10)

Our World today especially Nigeria, is characterized by materialism, embezzlement, cheating, insincerity, betrayals, immorality and all kinds of corruption.

Even the Church is not exempt from these dubious means to achieve success. However David's secret keeps whispering like an echo in the darkness to our conscience - 'Wait on the Lord - ---- Wait I say on the Lord." (vs. 14)

Prayer:
Lord teach me to say in You, it is well with my soul, Amen

Memory verse:   Ps. 27: 1
"The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear? the Lord is the Strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
