Daily Fountain 2017 - The Believer's Attire

Tuesday September 5

Bible Reading:     Col. 3: 12 - 17
Topic:                  The Believer's Attire

Clothes have different uses:
i.        to adorn ourselves
ii.       to cover our nakedness
iii.      to safeguard us from the rays of the sun
iv.      to depict our culture
e.t.c.

Today's passage gives a list of what every believer should put on as his daily attire.

Such attire will shield us from the onslaughts of the enemy and show forth the Christ-like culture or way of life all around us.

What then does the Bible expect us to put on as believers?
We are expected to be tender hearted, merciful, kind, humble, honest, gentle, long suffering, loving, forgiving, peaceful, disciplined in speech and character, versed in the knowledge of God, full of praise and thanksgiving to God for His mercies and faithful in our homes, churches and workplaces.

These qualities will show that we are truly the children of God.

Do you have the believer's attire?
Are you clothed in them?

Remember, it is not about what we do but Whose we are.

However, failure to live out this new life can mean that we do not truly belong to Christ, even if we have been involved in ministry and done miracles and accomplished great things (Matt. 7: 21 - 23; Luke 13: 27)

Be in Christ and put on the Christ-like nature daily to radiate His Glory

Prayer
Lord, help me to put on the believer's attire every day of my life in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory Verse             Col. 3: 12
"Put on therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness and longsuffering."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
