Daily Fountain 2017 - God's Standards

Saturday September 16

Bible Reading:     1 Sam. 2: 12 - 17
Topic:                  God's Standards

Eli's sons were described as corrupt because they had no regard for the Lord. They treated the Lord's offering with contempt; they ignored the approved pattern for collecting the priests' share of meat from people who came to sacrifice; they treated people arrogantly; they slept with the young women in God's House.

When people serving in any capacity in the church become irreverent, deliberately change orders to suit their lustful desires, express arrogance, etc, they are corrupt. Their works are also corrupt and unacceptable to God.

Unfortunately, today, we see people who are immoral, idolaters, liars, e.t.c. occupy important posts in churches and pretend to be serving God. Let it be clear to such persons that God is not a respecter of any person. Eli's sons were priests, yet God denounced them.

Corrupt lives and ministries have disastrous consequences. God has set standards for life and ministry for His Children and expects them to obey. He demands absolute obedience to His instructions and that was why He warned Moses " . . . . . . see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown to you on the mountain" (Ex. 25: 40)

Be sure you are serving according to God's instructions

Prayer
May my life and services never be corrupt in God's Sight, Amen.

Memory Verse             1 Sam 2: 12
"Now the sons of Eli were the sons of belial: they knew not the Lord."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
