Daily Fountain 2017 - Fulfill Your Vows

Wednesday September 13

Bible Reading:     1 Sam. 1: 24 - 28
Topic:                  Fulfill Your Vows

To make a vow to the Lord is like entering into a covenant with Him.

God is a covenant Keeper and He keeps His promises and expects us to keep ours.

When Hannah prayed to God for a child, she made a vow (1 Sam. 1: 11). God answered her according to her petition and gave her Samuel.

Our God is ever Faithful and will never fail in any covenant in which He is involved. Be assured that He will also answer your petition in Jesus Name.

Vs. 27 - 28 reveal how Hannah fulfilled her vow by presenting the boy Samuel to God in Shiloh. She said "therefore, I also have lent him to the Lord .."

She showed integrity and deep gratitude to God. It was not easy for her to release the small boy who had just been weaned from his mother, yet she had to do so trusting that God would guide and keep him. This is expression of deep faith and trust.

All of us must learn from Hannah how to fulfill any vow we make to the Lord without counting the cost involved. God also commanded His people to pay their vows and not to delay them (Ecc. 5: 4)

Indeed fulfilling our vows has great reward. (Ps. 50: 14)

Prayer
Lord, enable me always to fulfill my vows earnestly, Amen.

Memory Verse             1 Sam. 1:  24
"And when she (Hannah) had weaned him (Samuel), she took him up with her, with three bullocks, one ephah of flour and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the House of the Lord in Shiloh and the child was young."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
