Daily Fountain 2017 - Beware Of Reprisal Attacks

Saturday September 23

Bible Reading:     1 Sam 4: 1 - 11
Topic:                  Beware Of Reprisal Attacks

We should be especially vigilant because we are most vulnerable when we have experienced major spiritual and physical breakthroughs.

The enemy may launch a reprisal attack since we may let our spiritual guard down at such times.

Just as Israel was celebrating the return of the Presence of God, the restoration of the revelation of God's Word and Life in their midst, their arch enemies, the Philistines attacked them.

Israel suffered a heavy loss with 4, 000 soldiers killed. The Philistines initiated the aggression in this context in order to disrupt the unification of Israel.

To worsen matters, Israel in a bid to reverse their losses engaged the corrupt children of Eli who were rejected by God to convey the Ark of God from Shiloh to the battle front. Israel was comprehensively defeated and the Ark of God was captured, the two sons of Eli - Hophini and Phinehas were killed and 30, 000 more soldiers were slaughtered.

As soldiers of Christ today, we should never be ignorant of the devices of the enemy (2 Cor. 2: 11: 1 Pet. 5: 8).

We should always be sober and alert, most especially in times of spiritual breakthroughs.

Prayer
Lord, keep me always alert in the spirit and grant me victory over the arsenals of the evil one, Amen.

Memory Verse             1 Sam. 4: 5
"And when the Ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
