Daily Fountain 2017 - Confirmation Of Samuel's Ministry

Friday September 22

Bible Reading:     1 Sam 3: 15 - 21
Topic:                  Confirmation Of Samuel's Ministry

Samuel began his ministry under Eli at the time when the Lord had rejected the ministry of Eli because of the corrupt practices of his children.

There was scarcity of the Word of God in Israel and Israel lacked spiritual direction. (1 Sam. 3: 1), God abandoned the old Prophet Eli, called Samuel into service and used him to deliver a message of judgment against Eli and his family.

Samuel did what God commanded him to do and the Bible recorded that "The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up and He let none of his  words fall to the ground. And all Israel .... knew that Samuel had been established as a Prophet of the Lord. Then the Lord appeared again in Shiloh, for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of the Lord" (1 Sam. 3: 19 - 21)

The Presence of the Lord confirms the ministry of a man. The Lord restored His Presence, Revelation and His Word again in Shiloh through Samuel His approved servant.

We should earnestly covet God's Presence in our lives and ministries.

Prayer
Oh Lord, cleanse me from every defilement or corruption that can cost me Your Presence, Amen.

Memory Verse             1 Sam. 3: 21
"And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of the Lord."

God Is Not A Partial God

God Is Not A Partial God   I want to say something to someone today and that is the title of this message - God is not a partial God. Every day that the Sun rises, it does not rise for certain people that God loves more than others, it rises for all (including even those who don't believe in the existence of God) Every night that the Moon shines, it does not shine for a select group of persons who God loves most, it shines for all irrespective of their religious affiliations including those who have no religion. The 4 seasons happen for all inhabitants of the earth - there is no discrimination. Life happens to all irrespective of our belief system. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Evil people prosper as much if not much more than good hearted people - Is that God's doing? You see, whenever you see someone doing something exceptional, something extraordinary it is not about luck, it is not about favour, it's not ev...

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

It's Easter Sunday

On the 1st day of the new week that is the 3rd day following His betrayal, trial, condemnation, crucifixion, death and burial, Jesus the Christ rose from the dead, thus making an indelible world history. And over 2000 years now, this story has made the rounds and no one has been able to controvert it. It remains as true as the Word of God Himself because it was prophesied that He Who would offer the eternal and last sacrifice, shall be condemned by those He came to save, He would be put to death but on the 3rd day He would rise again so that He could be the Master and Lord of both the dead and the living. In overcoming death and rising again from the dead, Christ gave us - believers - the power to also overcome death because even though we die, we shall rise again at the end of the age when He shall come to take us to His Home on High where we shall be with Him for ever. Be not afraid therefore, because Jesus conquered death and gave us victory As...
