Daily Fountain 2017 - Special Announcement From Heaven

Sunday September 3
Trinity 12

Bible Reading:     Matt. 12: 16 - 22
Topic:                  Special Announcement From Heaven

Verses 18 - 21 refer to the prophesy of Isaiah on seven qualifications of the beloved servant of God.

These qualifications are as follows
i.        He has the Spirit of God (v. 18)
ii.       He spreads the Gospel (v. 18)
iii.      He maintains justice in all situations (v. 16)
iv.      He is gentle, avoiding strife with people (v. 19)
v.       He is not a noisemaker (v. 19)
vi.      He does not worsen the situation of the broken hearted (v. 20)
vii.     He does not quench smouldering works meaning that he encourages gifted people (v. 20)

These qualifications were fulfilled in the life Jesus.
He was filled with the Spirit of God and committed to the spreading of the Gospel. He maintained justice and peace in all situations. He also had a 'quiet' fruitful Ministry (His works and teachings advertised Him). He encouraged the weak. He trained His disciples and encouraged them to fulfill their calling.

Do you wish to please God?
Emulate these attributes exhibited in the life of Jesus.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit
Be committed to a life of evangelism, peace, justice, humility encouraging the weak and gifted people around you

By so doing, God would be delighted in you

Prayer
Lord,  help me to live up to Your standard expectations, Amen.

Memory Verse             Matt. 12: 18
"Behold My servant, Whom I have chosen; My Beloved, in Whom My Soul is well pleased: I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall shew judgement to the Gentiles."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
