Daily Fountain 2017 - He Cared Also For Their Physical Needs

Tuesday September 26

Bible Reading:     John 6: 1 - 14
Topic:                  He Cared Also For Their Physical Needs

Great crowd (mixed multitude) often thronged the Ministry of Jesus.

Many sought Him for bread, a few for Words of Eternal Life.

Jesus ministered to all of them.

In the days of Jesus, there were many who lacked basic necessities of life, even as it is today in our Country and Africa in general. A good number of these people are in our Churches and in our outreach programmes.

They are hungry, neglected by the society, sick, harassed and seriously buffeted by the troubles of life. They are looking for help.

Even those who have had opportunities of being educated are not spared. Many years after graduation, there are no jobs; some of our youths are expressing their total discontent by taking to criminal activities like armed robbery, bank robbery, internet fraud, e.t.c.

The Church like her Master Jesus Christ, should address the welfare needs of the poor and vulnerable people amongst us and reduce undue engagement in gigantic projects to the neglect of the poor.

Projects that touch lives of people should be preferred to prove to them that "surely Jesus is the Prophet Who came into the world (John 6: 14) to save the world"

Prayer
Lord, grant our Church leaders renewed burden for the suffering masses, Amen.

Memory Verse             John 6: 11
"And Jesus took the loaves and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down and likewise of the fishes as much as they would."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
