Daily Fountain 2017 - Confidence Attracts God's Covenant Blessing

Saturday July 8

Bible Reading:     Gen. 26: 1 - 11
Topic:                  Confidence Attracts God's Covenant Blessing

There was another famine in the land as in the days of his Father Abraham, and Isaac moved to the land of the Philistines, probably on his way to Egypt.

God appeared to him and instructed him to stay in Gerar. He promised to be with him and He was with his Father Abraham (vs. 2 - 3)

Though Isaac obeyed God and stayed in Gerar, like his Father before him, he lied about the relationship with his wife, saying she was his sister because he did not trust God for his protection.

Inspite of him, God was gracious to him and prevented anyone from compromising his wife.

Though Abimelech was deeply unhappy with him for his dishonesty when he discovered the truth, he still moved to protect Isaac and his family by charging those under him not to molest them.

God is a God of grace and mercy and will show us mercy as He did to Isaac when we fail.

Temptation to respond to situations in a worldly manner will come, but we must never forget God's faithfulness. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and will always care for us no matter the challenges we face.

Prayer
Oh Lord, help me to always listen and accept Your Will for me no matter the plans I have made, Amen.

Memory Verse             Gen. 26: 3
"Sojourn in this land and I will be with thee and will bless thee; for unto thee and unto thy seed I will give all these Countries, and I will perform the oath l sware unto Abraham, thy Father."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
