Bible Reading: Rev. 2: 12 - 17
Topic: Victory Stone
Our spiritual victory is
not only a testimony to others here on earth, but to unseen witnesses as well.
We have choices to make
regarding the trial of our faith, because heaven is watching our response to
our trials and afflictions.
Hammering trials break off
the rough edges of sin in our lives. Grinding hardships chip away superficial
spirituality.
For many years Christians
in Nigeria have been passing through faith-testing trials with many parts of
our Country die to insurgency, persecution and killing of Christians e.t.c.
Stanza 1 of A & M 304
says
"Fight the good fight
with all thy might
Christ is the Strength and
Christ thy Right
Lay hold on life and it
shall be
Thy joy and crown
eternally"
The "White Stone"
was known to the ancients as a victory stone. God will change that unpleasant
story of your life into glory. He will give you a new name, you will move from
barrenness to fruitfulness, from beggar to "Giver".
Every limitation that has
held you bound will turn around for your good, if only you turn away from those
things which the Lord hates and repent, yielding only to those things that
bring spiritual blessings.
Read 1 Pet. 4: 12, 13
Prayer
In my moment of trial,
Lord grant me grace to remain steadfast to You in Jesus Name, Amen.
Memory Verse Rev. 2: 17
"He that hath ear to
hear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches: To him that
overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white
stone and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that
receiveth it."
