Daily Fountain 2017 - Summary Of God's Law

Sunday July 23
(Trinity 6)

Bible Reading:     Mark 12: 28 - 34
Topic:                  Summary Of God's Law

The scribe impressed with how well Jesus handled questions from the religious leaders, asked his own burning question "which is the first commandment of all?"

In response, Jesus gave him this summary, the whole law ". . . . love the Lord your God with all your heart . . .  . soul  . . .  . mind . . .  and .. . . .  .. your neighbour as yourself" (vs. 30, 31)

In this conversation, we notice two important facts about the scribe: he asked an important question about life from Jesus and received an answer and he recognized that Jesus spoke the truth. (v 32)

Do you see any truth in the Word of God?
His Word is a light to our path (Ps. 119: 105)

As with the scribe, Jesus will provide answers to life issues if you ask Him.

Unlike this scribe, do not just be close to the Kingdom, make sure you belong inside it by submitting to Jesus and making Him Lord of your life; because one who is not inside is still outside no matter how close s/he may be.

Once we are fully in, we have His Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth and enable us to live out that truth day by day

Prayer
Lord, give me grace to believe Your Word and obey it so as not to miss Your Kingdom, Amen.

Memory Verse             Mark. 12: 32b
". . . . . . .for there is One God and there is none other but He."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
