Daily Fountain 2017 - Fulfilling God's Purpose With Human Wisdom

Thursday July 13

Bible Reading:     Gen. 27: 18 - 29
Topic:                  Fulfilling God's Purpose With Human Wisdom

God promises us blessings and favour but will never condone our trying to gain them by ungodly means.

What Rebekah did not know was that God could still have fulfilled His purpose for Jacob without her assistance.

Knowing that her husband was vulnerable because of his poor sight, Rebekah used her intimate knowledge of him to ensure that Jacob got the blessing.

Jacob lied to his father twice by claiming that he was Esau and that he came back quickly because God granted him success.

Like Jacob many Christians today attribute their success procured illegitimately to God's favour and blessing.

Though Jacob got the blessing, he suffered the consequences of his lies.
He fled for his life, gave up his possessions and comfort and had to spend years in exile. Even his mother Rebekah did not ever see her son again.

Jacob's experience should be a lesson to all believers.

God has promised us untold blessings but we must wait for Him to fulfill His promises His own Way and in His own Time.

It is such blessing from God that makes rich without adding sorrows and it's worth waiting for.

Wait for Him and you will have nothing to regret

Prayer
Lord, help me to solely depend on You, Your blessings and Your Time, Amen.

Memory Verse             Gen. 27: 22
"And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said: The voice is Jacbo's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
