Daily Fountain 2017 - Isaac Had Time For God

Friday July 7

Bible Reading:     Gen. 24: 61 - 67
Topic:                  Isaac Had Time For God

Isaac was a godly man, who devoted quality time to meditation and prayer to God.

He obviously had a habit of separating himself from the noisome neighbourhood unto a quiet and conducive atmosphere to aid his meditation.

Isaac was clearly aware that his father's chief servant had undertaken a mission to secure a wife for him. Yet being equally mindful of the wisdom that relying on the arm of flesh would ultimately spell disaster (Jer. 17:5), he probably included the servant's trip in his prayers.

Isaac lifted up his eyes in the place of meditation and saw Rebekah.

Revelations are most likely encountered in an atmosphere of meditation. Upon setting their eyes on each other, their hearts were immediately knit together, an indication that she must be God's answer to the prayers of the family and Isaac knew Rebekah was in the scheme of God's will for his life and she would now be his confidant and companion.

With his mother gone, this was great comfort to him.

Divine comfort awaits you in your prayer closet

Prayer
Gracious Lord, teach me to endeavour to spend quality time in Your presence every day so I may be aligned with Your purpose for me,  Amen.

Memory Verse             Gen. 24: 67
"And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah and she became his wife: and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
