Daily Fountain 2017 - Be A Caring Christian

Friday March 24

Bible Reading:     Matt. 27: 55 - 56

Topic:         Be A Caring Christian

Caring is simply attending to the welfare of another person or reaching out to others in need.

It goes beyond sympathy which is feeling sorry for the person, to actually doing something to alleviate their need.

It is love in action, exemplified by God Himself when He sent His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world (Jn. 3: 16)

The women mentioned in yesterday's reading ministered to the physical needs of Jesus and His disciples out of their substance (Lk. 8: 3)

In the passage today they exhibited their love and care for Jesus by following Him even to the cross at Calvary.

They did that to reciprocate Jesus' love to them as mentioned in Gal. 6: 6 - "Let him who is taught the word shall in all good things with him who teaches"

Every genuine Christian must strive to practically demonstrate God's love since it is one of the reasons why God saved us (Eph. 2: 10)

This ranges from witnessing to sinners to giving of our resources not just to care for our needy but also our spiritual leaders who labour to grow and mature us in the faith.

Have you been caring for the needy - spiritually and physically?
If not, you can start something today!!

Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for Your Word which has gone forth today. Help me to become a better Christian through supporting those in need even as the Scripture says in Gal. 6: 9 - 10 - "let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith" -, Amen.

Memory verse:   Matt. 27: 55
"And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto Him"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
