Daily Fountain 2017 - Seek God's Wisdom In All Things

Wednesday March 8

Bible Reading:     James 3: 13 - 18

Topic:         Seek God's Wisdom In All Things

The Bible says "Wisdom is the principal thing, so get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding" (Prov. 4: 7)

Wisdom the right application of knowledge is very important in every endeavour of man.

Two kinds of wisdom are projected in today's text - earthly wisdom characterized by envy, bitterness and self seeking (4 & 15) and wisdom from above which is "...... pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy"

Beloved, God's kind of Wisdom is a reflection of His Person and since we ought to strive to be like our Father, we must wholeheartedly cry to Him for this wisdom from on high.

As James 1: 5 says "if we lack wisdom, God will willingly give it to us if we ask Him without doubting.

Jesus promises in Matt. 7: 8 that everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds....."

James also reminds us that God is the Father of Lights from Whom every good and perfect gifts flow (James 1: 17)

He will willingly give us the wisdom we need for daily living, if we ask in faith.

Prayer:
Father give me Your Wisdom that I may live my life to honour You in all things, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory verse:   James 3: 16
"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
