Daily Fountain 2017 - The Christian Home

Tuesday March 21

Bible Reading:     Col. 3: 18 - 25

Topic:         The Christian Home

The first Institution that God founded on earth was Marriage (Gen. 2: 18 - 25) and this is the bedrock of every home.

Faith in Jesus Christ not only changes individuals, it also changes homes.

Paul addresses family members - husbands, wives, children and servants (vs. 18 - 22)

The home is meant to be a place of joy, happiness, security and comfort but so many marriages are under pressure cause homes to dysfunction. Consequently society is also in disarray.

One of the greatest things we can do as individuals is to help in building godly Christian homes.

Paul addressed the various members of the family and pointed out the factors that make for a strong and godly home which are

1.      Submission of wives to their husbands (v. 18)

2.      Love from husbands to their wives (v. 19)

3.      Obedience of children to their parents in all things (v. 20)

4.      Fathers not provoking their children (v. 21)

5.      Total obedience of servants to their masters (v. 22)

We must do the above heartily and conscientiously to the glory and praise of God.

Prayer:
Almighty God crown my home with beauty and peace in Jesus Name, Amen, Amen.

Memory verse:   Col. 3: 23
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily and as unto the Lord and not as unto men"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
