Wednesday March 1
Bible Reading: Psalms 51: 1 - 9
Topic: Complete Repentance
The message today Ash
Wednesday is in verse 4. Why would David declare that it was only God he sinned
against since he also sinned against Bathsheba and her husband Uriah whom he
murdered!, it is because sin against anyone is fundamentally disobedience to
God's command.
As we enter this season,
we must remember that every action or secret thought that offends Christian
morals and principles against humanity is a sign of estrangement from God and
it flies in the face of the Grace of God.
Sin against humanity is
fundamentally sin against God.
Please search your inward
parts as you start this fast and discover what the glitch is in your
relationships (friendships, marriage, among neighbours, co-workers and extended
family). Settle them by repenting, confessing, doing restitution where
possible, forgiving and praying for the person(s)
Then your fast would be
acceptable and potent enough to bring down abundant blessings, breakthroughs
and miracles from the Throne of Grace for you this year.
Prayer:
Lord, give me the grace to
humble myself before You and my acquaintances in penitent this season and
always to be able to appropriate the blessings of doing so, Amen.
Memory verse: Psalms 51: 4
"For I acknowledge my
transgressions and my sin is ever before me"
