Daily Fountain 2017 - God Loves All Equally

Saturday March 4

Bible Reading:     James 2: 1 - 13

Topic:         God Loves All Equally

In Leviticus 19: 15, the Bible says "You shall do no injustice in judgment, You shall not be partial to the poor,  nor honour the person of the mighty. In righteousness, you shall judge your neighbour."

James builds on this revelation when he warns against partiality to the rich and discrimination against the poor. He says "My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of Glory with partiality" (v. 1)

Today we honour people both in the Society and the Church based on their academic, social and financial status and ignore the poor. James warns that to do this is to show "partiality among ourselves and become judges with evil thoughts." (v. 4)

Christians in general and Ministers of God in particular need to ask God for grace to be impartial in dealing with the high and mighty as well as those who are not priviledged with the same godly mind, without running contrary to the Lord's dictates.

As a user of this devotional, note the areas where you are guilty of this error and pray for God's strength to do the right thing.

Prayer:
Dear Father in Heaven, give me the courage never to be partial in whatever I do in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory verse:   James 2: 5
"Hearken my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this World rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which He hath promised to them that love Him? "

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
