Friday March 31
Bible Reading: 1 Peter 3: 18 - 22
Topic: The Blessedness Of Suffering
Suffering is not pleasure.
It is painful and agonizing to human soul and spirit especially where one
suffers unjustly.
But the Scripture says
"it is better, if it is God's will to suffer doing good than for doing
evil" (v. 17)
Jesus Christ exemplified
this truth in the way, He suffered unjustly in order to procure human salvation
(v. 18)
This endurance of godly
suffering earned Him a Name above all other names (Phil. 2: 8-10) and a place
at the Right Hand of God with angels, principalities and powers in submission
to Him (v. 22)
Beloved what are you going
through?
Are you being punished unjustly?
Are you being persecuted in the office or family because of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ or your unyielding stance for the truth?
Remember that there is blessing when you suffer for doing the right thing.
Are you being punished unjustly?
Are you being persecuted in the office or family because of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ or your unyielding stance for the truth?
Remember that there is blessing when you suffer for doing the right thing.
Therefore be of good
cheer, patiently endure for God will eventually vindicate you.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank
You for Your love for me. Help me to constantly understand the Scripture as it
is written in Rom. 8: 35 - 37 which says "who shall separate us from the
love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship, persecution or famine or nakedness
or danger or sword? ......... No in all these things, we are more than
conquerors through Him Who loves us, for I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
Memory verse: 1 Peter 3: 18
"For Christ also hath
once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust that He might bring us to God, being
put to death in the flesh nut quickened by the Spirit"
