Daily Fountain 2017 - 051117 - Jesus Shall Reign Whether We Like It Or Not

Sunday November 5
(21st Sunday After Trinity)

Bible Reading:     Luke 19: 11 - 27
Topic:                  Jesus Shall Reign Whether We Like It Or Not

The "nobleman" in this parable is Jesus Christ Himself and He told this parable to show the Jewish Religious Leaders who rejected Him because He did not fit their expectations of a conquering messiah, that their opposition was futile.

At the completion of His earthly Ministry, He would go back to Heaven and send His Spirit to release His gifts to His people.

While they wait for His return, each one is expected to use his talent in the service of the Kingdom.

One day He will return to reign in power and glory and those who rejected and pierced Him will mourn for Him (Rev. 1: 7)

If you are a Christian, how are you waiting for the Lord's return?

Those who faithfully use their gifts while we wait for His return will receive the Lord's commendation, but those who reject His rule over their lives now, will be judged and punished for their disobedience.

On which side of this fence are you?

There is still time to repent, accept the rule of the Kind in your life and use His gifts to expand His Kingdom.

Prayer
Father help me to always remember that I am saved to use my God-given gifts to serve You rather than build my own empire, in Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Memory Verse             Luke 19: 26
"For I say unto you, That unto everyone which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
