Daily Fountain 2017 - 161117 - Maintain The Balance

Thursday November 16

Bible Reading:     Eph. 5: 8 - 14
Topic:                  Maintain The Balance

There is the saying that "salvation is personal but not private."

Salvation is personal in that only the individual can take the decision to be born again. However salvation is not private because it is good news which we must share.

Therefore God desires the balance in every Christian - once in Christ, we must do everything to bring others to Him.

It is not enough for us to avoid the fruitless deeds of darkness but we must expose them too.

Some of us are "nice" Christians who avoid the fruitless deeds of darkness like smoking, drinking, quarreling, stealing and getting involved in immoralities.

They dress decently, are friendly with people, helpful to those in need e.t.c. unfortunately for such "nice" Christians, maintaining a good character is the sum total of their Christianity thus revealing an imbalance in their Christian life.

The imbalance results from the fact that they do not expose and challenge the fruitless deeds of darkness nor preach the good news of Salvation to unbelievers.

We must maintain a balance in our lives by vigorously doing both so that our lives will be effective in changing our environment.

Prayer
Dear Father, thank You for making Your children the light of the world. May I ever shine to expose every fruitless deed of darkness in and around me in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory Verse             Eph. 5: 8
"For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord. Walk as children of light."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
