Daily Fountain 2017 - 261117 - Carry God's Presence With You

Sunday November 26
(Sunday Before Advent)

Bible Reading:     Heb. 9: 24 - 28
Topic:                  Carry God's Presence With You

As Jesus lives in God’s presence on our behalf, He has given us His Spirit to enable us experience God’s presence wherever we are.

When we gather as the Church, God is present with us because that is what Jesus promised (Matt. 18: 20); but we must not equate coming to church with coming into God’s presence.

Unfortunately, we can be in church and miss it because our hearts are not truly prepared to seek God.

If your aim is to meet with friends, show off new clothes or bask in the euphoria of your eloquence you will not experience His presence even in church.

As Christians, we carry God’s presence wherever we go and in all activities of life; and we are obligated to live in a way that shows forth His life in us.

Paul told us in 1 Cor. 6: 19-20 that we must defile God’s temple by the way we live.

So when next you are in Church, at work or at a social engagement, ask the Spirit of God whose temple you are, to help you live out God’s presence in those situations that others may come to know Christ through you.

Prayer
Father, consecrate me for Your Presence; may I find delight in the single hour that before Your Throne I spend. Amen

Memory Verse             Heb. 9: 27
"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
