Daily Fountain 2017 - 171117 - Managing Time

Friday November 17

Bible Reading:     Eph. 5: 15 - 20
Topic:                  Managing Time

Today's passage urges us to use time wisely because the days are evil (vs. 15, 16)

To be able to use time wisely we need Jesus " .... Who gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil age ..." (Gal. 1: 4)

Here are some tips to help us manage time

a.       Study the Gospels to see how Jesus used His time and learn from Him

b.      Pray and ask God to show you how to establish your priorities in life. Make a list of those priorities in the order of importance asking for God's Wisdom as you do so

c.       Learn to plan ahead, asking God to show you what He wants you to accomplish in life

d.      Draw up your schedules and follow them as closely as possible, relying on Him Who works in you to will and to act according to His good purposes (Phil. 2: 13)

e.       Learn how to make the most of your time, accomplishing as much as you can with each activity and prayerfully doing it in the best possible way

f.       Ensure that all you do is to the best of your ability, not wasting any time

g.       Learn to say "NO" to things that are not contributory

Prayer
Father I ask for grace to manage my time well in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory Verse             Eph. 5: 15, 16
"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise. Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
