Bible Reading: Phil. 1: 1 - 11
Topic: A Good Work Begun
Verse 6 reads, “being
confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will
complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”.
The day we invite Jesus
into our lives, 'a good work has begun'.
The good work is salvation
through which the Father delivers us from the power of darkness and deposits us
in the Kingdom of His dear Son Jesus Christ (Col. 1: 13).
It is important to ensure
that this good work of salvation has begun in us. It is a timely question when
we consider the many negative stories that are reported in the media about some
pastors and church members.
These stories reveal that
many are not Christians but Church goers.
If you have never given
your life to Christ, today is the day of salvation. Don't postpone it, for
tomorrow may be too late.
Notice that this good work
has a completion day – the day when Christian returns.
As the Lord supplies us
the power to continue the good work, He expects us to supply the willingness.
We will be supplying our
willingness when we consecrate our lives to God every new day of our lives.
Have you done that today?
Prayer
Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord to Thee. Amen.
Memory Verse Phil. 1: 6

this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it
