Daily Fountain 2017 - 291117 - My Hope Is Built On Nothing Else

Wednesday November 29

Bible Reading:     Phil. 3: 1 - 6
Topic:                  My Hope Is Built On Nothing Else

A man began spending wildly beyond his means in anticipation of the promise of a big contract from a political leader.

Unfortunately the political leader died before the contract could be awarded and his world almost crumbled.

The Scripture says that a man is cursed who puts his trust in a man, making his heart to depart from God. But that man is blessed whose hope is the Lord (Jer. 17: 5-9).

We experience shame and failure when we trust in anything other than the Rock of Salvation. Psalm 20: 7 says “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” (KJV).

Apostle Paul in Phil. 3: 1-6 admonished us not to have confidence in the flesh. He had every reason more than anyone else to trust in the flesh and worldly achievements.

As Christians, our boast should not be in the flesh, nor in our ability, nor in our degrees, wealth or strength; it must be in Christ Who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He has never failed; He will never fail and He can never fail.

Prayer
Dear Lord, even in the centre of the sea, amidst its waves and turbulence, may Your Word be my anchor and my hope. Amen

Memory Verse             Phil. 3: 3
" For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
