Father in Heaven, the
Ancient of Days, the I Am that I Am, He that sits upon the Majestic Throne in
the Heavenly places and His Footstol is here on earth, Lord we glorify Your
Name and return all adoration, honour and thanksgiving to you today for Your
great mercy and grace granted unto us to see the light of this new day. We know
that by our own ways, we do not deserve this favour but Your grace abounds that
even in our sinfulness, You came down to save us. Lord we ask for Your
continued favour. Forgive us all that is past and grant us grace to live above
them. Guide us today in the path You have chosen for us and let us not be
derailed from Your ways. Heal the sick O Lord, provide for the widows and the
fatherless, give food to the hungry and water to the thirsty. Let Your will O
Lord be done on earth even as it is done in Heaven and let us live today in
Your goodness and faithfulness not knowing what it will bring but having the
comfort of knowing You which is the assurance of eternal gain. We pray through
Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Saviour. Amen
