Tuesday November 7
Bible Reading: Eph. 2: 11 - 22
Topic: Unity And Grace In Jesus
Christ
We Gentiles will better
appreciate our position in Christ Jesus if we remember that we were excluded
from the commonwealth blessings of God's people Israel until Jesus sacrifice on
the Cross changed our fortunes.
All those who through
faith receive Him as Saviour and Lord have their sins washed away and they
become members of one holy and united family.
Thus every wall of
demarcation is broken. There is no more Jew or Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised,
black or white, poor or rich, high or low for we have all become one family.
Can you imagine one such big
fellowship of believers of diverse nationalities and colours serving and
praising God with joy and gladness in their hearts.
It gives God great
pleasure and He responds by manifesting His Presence in that fellowship and
blessing them (Ps. 133)
What is the character of
your Church fellowship or denomination?
Is it free from ethnic,
academic, economic and racial differences, which have caused grave divisions in
the Church of today?
If it is not, then the
love of Christ which should bind us together is being stilled and your witness
as a Church to the world is being rendered ineffective.
Prayer
Father make me an
instrument of love, peace and unity in Jesus Name, Amen.
Memory Verse Eph. 2: 14
"For He is our peace,
Who hath made both one and bath broken down the middle wall of partition
between us."
