Bible Reading: Rom. 5: 12 - 21
Topic: The Genetics Of Justification
Genetics is the study of
the transfer of traits or character from the parents to the offspring.
In the matter of
redemption, there are two genetic Founding Fathers - Adam and Christ.
Adam represents the entire
human race while Christ represents the new breed of God's Children.
When Adam sinned,
genetically speaking, the whole human race sinned - vs. 12 - 14. When Christ
came, it was the same principle; by faith, we were all included in Him - when
He died, was buried and rose again - v. 17
Therefore just as you were
genetically included in your forefather (Adam) before you were born, so that you
inherited His characteristics, in the same way God included the whole world in
Christ, as the Founding Father of a regenerated people, so that whoever would
come to Him by faith would inherit His Spiritual Genes.
That is the genetics of
justification, and by such revealed understanding, we have victory over sin,
the world and the devil.
So, you are genetically
new when by faith you are found in Christ, as a result, sin shall not have
dominion over you ..... Rom. 6: 14
Prayer:
Lord, show me the meaning and
mystery of being in Christ, Amen
Memory verse: Rom. 5: 18
"Therefore, as by the
offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the
righteousness One, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life"
